A recent reflection from a parent of a student from the class of 2010:
My daughter Gaylen will be graduating from 8th grade at Scofield on the 24th and will be a freshman at the Center for Global Studies at Brien McMahon come September. I know for a fact her interest in global cultures and decision to attend CGS and study Japanese was heavily influenced by her participation in Rites of Passage. She has a global, multi-cultural perspective on life at a far younger age than I ever did - I didn't take my first domestic plane trip until I was 21 and interviewing for engineering jobs in several Eastern cities. I didn't travel outside the U.S.until my 20's, when I started flying extensively for business.
Thanks again for all you do. You are an example to us all!
God bless,
